Workers Arrested For Selling Medicines, Medical Supplies

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) said the Protection Sector Inspection Department has arrested some expatriates for turning their accommodation into a mini pharmacy.

The Al-Qabas daily said the seized medicines are for diabetes, high blood pressure, ulcers, vitamins, masks and analgesics and some medical equipment.

The medicines and the suspects have been referred to the authorities to take legal measures which may even end up in deportation. They are also believed to be violators of residence law. The medicines were found hidden inside the workers’ bedroom.
