Work Productivity Has Decreased By Approximately 30 Percent After Implementing Fingerprint System

04 June 2017 Kuwait

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has discovered that work productivity in most government agencies has decreased by approximately 30 percent since the implementation of the fingerprint system compared to the former signature system directly with the concerned official, reports Al- Anba daily quoting informed sources.

They said this result was achieved after examining a number of actual reports on the output of working hours in various government agencies that were monitored by employees of the employment sector, after holding meetings with a number of department managers and reviewing their reports on the productivity of many employees who were randomly selected for the study.

Reports indicated that a large number of government employees were committed to the time required to register the fingerprint at the start and end of official working times, but were not committed to sitting in their offices to complete their work and assigned duties. This reflected negatively on the productivity and achievement rates
