Work On ‘t2 Project’ Moving At Steady Pace, Despite Pandemic

The team overlooking work progress at the Kuwait International Airport Project, T2 recently inspected the site of the project with the aim of advancing the work process, reduce the documentary cycle and remove all obstacles facing the project during its implementation phases, as it is one of the strategic projects that will contribute to realizing the ‘Kuwait 2035’ vision.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, Engr Ismail Al-Failakawi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Major Projects Sector at the Ministry, Engr Abdul-Mohsen Khaled Al-Enezi, and representatives of the concerned government agencies were part of the inspection tour. Also present during the inspection team were representatives from the Ministry of Public Works, Directorate- General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Fatwa and Legislation Department, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Tenders Committee.

Al-Failakawi, said in a statement the inspection tour of the project by a specialized team that was formed to reduce the documentary cycle in addition to considering all the procedures that take place in the project and working to overcome the problems facing the project.

He indicated the project is moving at steady pace despite the challenges posed by the corona pandemic, it is one of the strategic projects that in turn will contribute to the realization of the lofty vision of a ‘New Kuwait’. For his part, the representative of the Fatwa and Legislation Department in the General Counselor Haider Al-Harz explained that this visit to the new Kuwait International Airport building project, despite the existence of the corona pandemic, indicated that the rates of completion and work on the project and what we saw is a source of pleasure.

In turn, the representative of the Ministry of Finance in Lieutenant General Hanan Al-Rubaian said, “Our presence today as the Ministry of Finance comes to support the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works in this huge project, which is one of the projects of the development plan.”
