Will The Ban Return?

Arabic local newspaper reported that The Cabinet postponed the transition to the fifth phase of the gradual return to normal life plan until further notice, while the number of countries from which travelers are banned from directly entering Kuwait increased to 34 countries, after removing Singapore from the list and adding Yemen, France and Argentina based on the recommendations of the health authorities.

The council attributed the increase in the number of people infected with the Coronavirus recently to complacency, lack of compliance with health requirements, and frequent contact and gatherings in recent times, and tasked the concerned authorities with activating measures to ensure the implementation of health requirements, limiting the spread of infection and protecting the health and safety of citizens and residents, while observers feared that complacency might lead before Citizens and residents to re-impose a partial curfew to face non-compliance with requirements.

The activities that are still prohibited and are scheduled to return within the postponed fifth stage include: full rotations, events and family gatherings, weddings, exhibitions, cinemas and theaters, after some activities were presented for the fourth phase that began on August 18.
With the number of Corona virus infections in Kuwait approaching the 100,000 threshold, the Ministry of Health warned that “health indicators indicate that we are still in the first wave, taking into account the possibility of a second wave in the event of non-compliance with preventive precautions”.

The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, revealed that “the incidence of people infected with the virus, whether in hospital wards or in intensive care, increased at a rate of about 5 percent over the past week.”
National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim announced that after consulting with members of the parliament’s office, it was decided to postpone yesterday session to next Tuesday, after conducting checks for all parliamentarians next Saturday. By yesterday evening, the number of MPs who were confirmed infected with the Coronavirus reached 7, they are: Abd al-Wahhab Al-Babtain, Saadoun Hammad, Faisal Al-Kandari, Adel Al-Damkhi, Yousef Al-Fadala, Safaa Al-Hashem and Muhammad Al-Dalal.
