Will Not Allow Any Violation Of Employees’ Rights

Minister of Education, Dr Ali Al-Mudhaf fully supports the demands of the ministry’s employees, and has stressed that he will not allow any violation of the law or the infringement of the rights of any teacher or employee working for the Education Ministry, reports Al-Seyassah daily. This came when Minister Al-Mudhaf hosted the head of the Ministry of Education Union Workers in his office, Saleh Al-Azmi, where they discussed a number of demands forwarded by the union, which the minister has promised to solve.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received on Monday Minister of Education Dr Ali Fahad Al-Mudhaf who presented to His Highness the Prime Minister the newly-assigned undersecretary, Dr Ali Mohammad Al-Yacoub

Al-Azmi said in a press statement after the meeting, that Minister Al-Mudhaf patiently listened to a detailed explanation of the supervisory functions in the educational zones and the ministry’s general office complete with full names and vacancies provided to him by department heads, observers, district managers and directors of educational affairs, and said the minister promised to resolve them soon. He pointed to the minister’s support for the union’s demands regarding the approval of a number of jobs in the Ministry of Education, such as laboratories, curricula and student affairs, stressing that the union will provide the ministry with the numbers and titles for these jobs after approval by the Civil Service Commission. Al-Azmi said Minister Al-Mudhaf has also promised to investigate the list of violations and abuses which have been submitted by the union with documentary evidence. He added the minister also stressed that he will not accept the infringement of the right of any employee within the Ministry of Education, and that everyone must be given his/her right.
