Weddings And Gatherings May Return From October

As epidemiological conditions continue to improve in the country for the fourth week in a row, government sources said that in October many restrictions might be lifted, Al Qabas daily reported.

The sources told the daily that one of the most prominent restrictions that would be lifted is allowing weddings, the return of football fans to the stands, events to diwaniyas, and the alignment of the ranks of worshipers in mosques, which will be determined at the beginning of October, with the return of normal life in the country.

The sources stressed that the government is slow to make decisions on these files until the stage of comprehensive societal immunity is reached, to avoid any epidemic setback that would force a reversal.

In the context, the sources revealed to the daily that the Cabinet will discuss, in its weekly meeting scheduled for Monday, the issue of increasing the capacity of arrivals at Kuwait International Airport will be discussed.

The sources added that the government will also discuss how to persuade and educate those who abstain from vaccination, who have not yet registered on the vaccination platform, to reach the highest possible rate of complete community immunity.
