Water Society Brings Together Experts From 13 Countries To Participate In ‘designing Drainage Networks’ Program

Dr. Saleh Al-Muzaini, President of the Kuwait Water Society, said building national capacities to manage water resources is a step forward in the way of developing the applied, scientific, and engineering skills by the Kuwaiti government sectors in particular and other sectors in general, Al-Rai daily reported.

He said the association is working to make these programs what he called ‘the good seed’ for building the capabilities of national institutions and various advanced scientific institutions in the field of water resources and sanitation management.

There are presented by the society as a civil organization internationally accredited by the United Nations and chosen by the Green Wave International Organization as a body specialized in training and capacity building in the area of environment and sustainability to implement these programs.

This came at the conclusion of the virtual training program entitled (Designing Sewerage Networks Using Sewer CAD Program), which was allocated by the association to employees and engineers of state ministries and trainees from all sectors.

Dr. Al-Muzaini said that the program, which was organized by the Water Society in cooperation with the “Green Wave” International Organization for Sustainability, with the support of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, a group of Arab water specialists and experts from 13 Arab countries participated in its activities, along with the State of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Sultanate of Oman, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.

For his part, the Treasurer of the Water Society, Engineer Raed Al-Ahmad, explained that the program reflects the efforts undertaken by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences in supporting the training programs implemented by the Society in cooperation with the “Green Wave” International Organization for Environment and Sustainability, in an effort to raise awareness and enhance the capabilities of those targeted areas with these advanced programs in the field of water efficiency.
