Verdict On Dec 26 In Leaking Of Info On Many Court Cases

The Misdemeanor Court adjourned to December 26 the issuance of its verdict on the case related to “disclosing information regarding current and pending cases at the courts” filed against 26 individuals including court clerks in the Ministry of Justice, attorneys and their associates. The Public Prosecution charged 13 of the defendants, in their capacity as public servants (court clerks at the Ministry of Justice), of disclosing information regarding current and pending cases at the courts where they work , thereby violating the court and case confidentiality clauses as stipulated by law. They were charged with taking photographs and copies of some of the provisions and decisions of the cases and documents, and then sharing the information among each other.

The rest of the defendants were accused of leaking the information through mobile phones and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, IMO, Messenger, etc), ignoring the fact that such actions would harm the interest of the party they work for, and also the integrity of the lawsuits.
