On the impact of the Cabinet decision taken during its meeting held on April 26th, regarding sending urgent medical and relief aid to the Republic of India in solidarity with its friendly people, given the exceptional circumstances they are going through, as a result of the spread of the new mutated strain of the Corona virus, which resulted in an increase Significant death and injury rates and in record numbers, Al Jarida learned that the Ministry of Social Affairs is about to launch an urgent popular donation campaign for the relief of the Indian people at ten o’clock this morning.

According to the sources, the official letter received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs included a proposal to launch a popular campaign to collect donations with the participation of all well-known charitable institutions and organizations, as an expression of great solidarity with this friendly country that enjoys long-term historical relations with Kuwait.

The sources indicated that the Ministry of Affairs, represented by the Department of Charitable Societies and Charities, and in prior coordination with the charitable bodies, set the aforementioned date to be the date for the launch of the donation campaign, which will be in the community development center hall in the Yarmouk region, based on the distinguished friendship between the two friendly countries. Kuwait is keen to alleviate the suffering of the Indian people due to this health disaster that afflicted them.
