UNESCO Has Expressed Kuwaiti Women In The Unique Positions In Various Fields
Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Mishal Hayat has expressed his pride in the unique positions that Kuwaiti women have occupied recently in various fields, earning their full political rights as well due the wise will of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Hayat made his remarks in a statement Wednesday on the sidelines of his participation in the opening of UNESCO's activities and events to celebrate the International Women's Day in Paris.
He praised the Arab participation in the event, which included an art exhibition on women's role in the sustainable development, adding that the expo highlights women's role and contribution in communities' development.
UNESCO is so keen on empowering women in the world, exerts tremendous efforts to boost gender equality and security of women's interests, said the Kuwaiti diplomat.
