Uncertainty Continues For Flights From Kuwait : Vande Bharat Mission

As India begins the Vande Bharat Mission to evacuate stranded Indians from abroad, uncertainty continues for the scheduled operations from Kuwait.

As per the plan, the first flight from Kuwait is scheduled to fly on Friday to Hyderabad. However sources said that the flight may not operate from Kuwait as scheduled.

Five flights were scheduled form Kuwait in the first week of operation to Hyderabad, Kochi , Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kozhikode. However it is learned that the required clearance is not yet received for operating the service.

Earlier Kuwait had requested India to open its airport for sending 1000s of illegal Indian residents sheltered at various center in Kuwait as part of the amnesty announced by the Kuwait government. However a solid plan for this is not yet given by the India government.
