Uae: Resumption Of Granting Entry Permits To Domestic Workers
Today, Monday, the Federal Authority for Identity and Emirati Citizenship, in coordination with the National Authority for Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management, announced the resumption of work to allow the issuance of new visas for the assistive workers category, in addition to the start of issuing entry permits to work with government and semi-government agencies and vital facilities in the country, through the main channels of the authority. And taking all precautionary and preventive measures and requirements at the country’s ports, ending the pre-inspection procedure before arrival, and the employer or institution receiving and quarantining arrivals for a period of 14 days in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship confirmed that all nationalities would continue to allow entry to holders of valid residence permits from the category of assistive workers.
This also includes holders of valid residency and workers for government and semi-government agencies and vital establishments in the category of employment for all nationalities, provided that the responsible party submits the application via the authority’s website. The authority stressed the importance of adhering to the pre-examination procedures before reaching the state, with the aim of enabling the return of this group to the country in a manner that achieves the integration of efforts made with the various sectors of the state and its vital institutions, in conjunction with the readiness of the joint work mechanisms in the matter of preventive and precautionary measures taken to confront Corona.
