16 September 2020 Crime News

The Public Prosecution has released two police officers – Brigadier Nasser Al-Tayyar and Brigadier Faisal Al-Sabah – on bail worth KD 5,000 each, and imposed a travel ban on them pending the completion of the investigations.

According to the case file, the two officers are allegedly accused of leaking investigation video clips related to the Malaysian Fund scandal. The prosecution claims the two officers cooperated in posting the clips in a new but fake account on Twitter, an act that jeopardizes national security, as per the prosecution.

The two were also accused of posting another clip which shows  a State Security officer meeting a person inside the State Security Agency’s building.
