Two Dead By Lightning Strike Near Khiran Beach

 In a rare incident, a coastguard official and a citizen were killed after they were struck by a lightning bolt near Khiran beach yesterday.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement that a jet ski of citizen Saad Khaled Al-Shereeda broke down and a coastguard boat was dispatched to rescue him.

The ministry said that the coastguard diver jumped in the water to help the man, but they were both struck by lightning and were killed instantly.
