According to Abbas Al-Sammak, director of the Higher Institute of Communications and Navigation at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, the institute has established a field training program for approximately 1,780 graduates in computer, communication, control, electric, and electronics fields.

As reported by Al-Jarida, Al-Sammak stated that the labor market authorities have effectively contributed to their fruitful cooperation on the field training program, in addition to the requirement that trainees to the communications institute and applied training sector obtain at least a good grade in order to qualify. In addition to Communication, Social Affairs, Interior, Civil Aviation, and various petroleum institutions, these disciplines are required by many state ministries and government agencies."

As part of the institute's graduation requirements, Al-Sammak said the institute's field training program allows trainees to learn how to deal with officials and to respect labor laws during this eight-week training period under the guidance of Public Authority for Manpower officials and institute supervisors, in order to prepare trainees psychologically and morally for their jobs and to deal directly with the work environment before graduating from the institute and entering the job market.
