Tourism Boom Seen In Demand For Hotels
Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Affairs at Ministry of Information Yousef Mustafa affirmed that the sector has been steadily receiving several applications for construction of new hotels, resorts and hotel apartments, which is an indication that commercial and tourism activities in Kuwait are flourishing, reports Al-Rai daily.
Mustafa said the rate of new applications makes it a necessity for the concerned officials to be more responsible in meeting the steadily increasing demands. He declared that everybody must justify his/her role by making sure the mechanism for construction works well in a way that it will reflect in the excellent services offered to visitors in Kuwait from the Gulf region, Arab world and other countries across the globe.
Mustafa stressed the need for preparing and implementing a new vision, and working on a suitable pattern for creation of methods to deal with classification. He described hotel as the first-class industry for tourism, adding that Kuwait possesses relatively large number of hotels of various classes compared to its landmass, affirming that this is a good sign and an index to be proud of.
