Top Official In Customs Department Corrupt – Kd 12 Million Embezzled

The Anti- Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has discovered the involvement of a senior official of the Kuwait General Administration of Customs in corruption, reports Al-Rai daily quoting knowledgeable sources.

Investigations conducted by Nazaha revealed that the top official permitted the entry of dozens of tons of goods in an illegal manner, in addition to embezzling about KD 12 million.

The sources said Nazaha is preparing all case documents to refer the suspect to the Public Prosecution.
