To Qualify For Benefits, Beneficiaries Must Meet Two Conditions

06 March 2022 Information

Mubarak Al-Aro, Kuwait's Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development, has issued a decision to amend the Public Aid Law's executive regulations, based on the Education, Social, and Health Committee's recommendation to provide subsidies to some Kuwaiti families and individuals who are not eligible for Public Aid Law.

The ruling specifies that the texts of Articles "19 and 43" of the rule should be modified to meet the scenario, according to a local Arabic newspaper. "The beneficiary of this aid shall be confirmed by a medical report issued by one of the Ministry of Health's medical committees to indicate the patient is unable to work owing to his illness," Article 19 should say.

A patient is someone who applies for addiction treatment on their own and is assigned to and adheres to a daycare program or a halfway house for addiction therapy. "To be qualified for assistance, it is essential to verify that the applicant has remained in Kuwait for at least 183 days throughout the calendar year," the change to Article 43 should say.

If the residence condition is confirmed to have been broken, the aid must be halted, and it should not be resumed until two months have passed since the date of entry. According to the most recent decision, the decision to form the most famous Al-Arouh Association, the Dew Al-Nada Association for Charitable Activities, for an indefinite term is to provide financial aid to students as well as other assistance to the afflicted, sick, and poor.
