Three Kuwait Officials To Be Investigated By Anti-corruption Authority

25 August 2020 Crime News

The Minister of State for Services Affairs and the Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs, Mubarak Al-Haris, announced that three Kuwaiti officials in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) were referred to the Anti-Corruption Authority on the suspicion of mishandling public money.

Al-Haris suspended three civil aviation officials from work last June, and formed a committee headed by the Fatwa and Legislation Department to investigate their failure to perform their job duties.

The employees were allegedly involved in a loss of a judicial ruling of KD8.5 million dinars by the state civil aviation, and there were suspicions raised regarding their failure to provide the Fatwa Administration with the documents of the case before the ruling was issued.
