The White House: Trump Was Transferred To Walter Reed Military Hospital

03 October 2020 International

Medical sources inside the White House said that US President Donald Trump will be transferred to Walter Reed Military Hospital in Washington.

Trump's doctor added that the president is tired, but his spirits are good after it was confirmed that he was infected with the Corona virus, as the White House and its election campaign rushed to deal with the sudden turn facing his troubled presidency.

A White House official said that President Trump will move to a ward at Walter Reed Hospital for a few days as a precaution.

White House spokeswoman Kylie McNani said, in a precautionary measure, and based on the recommendation of his doctor and medical experts, the president will operate from the presidential offices at Walter Reed Hospital over the next few days.

Trump, who underestimated the threat of the Corona pandemic from its inception, had confirmed that he and first lady Melania had tested positive for Covid-19 disease caused by the virus and that they would be subject to quarantine, and the virus killed more than 200,000 Americans and caused severe damage to the American economy.

In turn, President Trump said in a video message on his Twitter account, "I think I am in very good condition, but I will go to Walter Reed Hospital for more reassurance", expressing to everyone his thanks for the support he received.

Trump left the White House without any assistance and was seen wearing a mask while he was heading towards the helicopter that took him to a hospital in suburban Washington for treatment after he contracted Covid-19.
