The New Kuwaiti Prime Minister Pledges To Uphold The Constitution

Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Kuwait's new prime minister, pledged to preserve the country's constitution, democracy, and gains, state news agency Kuna reported.

As a pledge to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Ahmad said, "I promise to preserve our national gains, constitution, democracy, and institutions that our grandfathers left us.".

In serving Kuwait and its people, Sheikh Ahmad demonstrated loyalty, allegiance, and faithfulness.

In order to achieve our people's aspirations for progress, prosperity, and comprehensive development, we will continue to spare no effort or sacrifice."

For appointing him to form the new government, Sheikh Ahmed expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Emir.

On Sunday, the Crown Prince, Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmed Al Sabah, issued an Emiri decree naming Sheikh Ahmed as Kuwait's new Prime Minister.

After resigning for the fourth time in two years and a half, former Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Hamad Al Sabah was appointed.
