The Ministry’s Emergency Plan Succeeded In Dealing With Power Cuts In Hawalli And Mubarak Hospital

The Ministry of Health confirmed that the workflow at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital was not affected by the power cuts yesterday, whether inside the wards, in the intensive care rooms, or in the laboratories, as this coincided with the immediate activation of the emergency plan in Mubarak Hospital and the supporting hospitals and full readiness between the various sectors of the ministry.

The ministry said in a statement today that “in this context and in the face of immediate dealing with interruption, all devices in the wards and in the intensive care unit and ventilators worked directly according to the support programs, with activation of the operations center in the ministry and the activation of the emergency plan that the ministry was constantly reviewing and the presence of doctors and nursing staff On the job and at the site of the event, as well as the presence of a number of ambulances support

he ministry pointed out that it «did not have to transfer any case to the support hospitals, nor was any disease negatively affected by this power outage, as the immediate deal with the outage was according to the highest level of preparation for such circumstances.

In parallel, she pointed out that “the workflow of the Central Blood Bank was not affected as well during the power outage in some areas of Hawalli Governorate, as the emergency plan was activated to ensure that hospitals are provided with the necessary requirements throughout the day.”

The ministry stressed “the close follow-up of the Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, to the progress of work inside the hospital, and the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustafa Reda, the Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Mutairi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Naham, the Director of the Hawalli Health District Dr. Nadia Al-Jumah and the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Mahdi Al-Fadhli, to check Workflow .

The Ministry of Health expressed “thanks to all its sectors and to all its technical and administrative staff that dealt with the event, as well as to colleagues in the Ministry of Electricity and Water who contributed to the restoration of the electrical current within minutes of the outage.”
