The Ministry Of Interior Denies 40 Inmates Contacted Coronavirus

The General Administration of Security Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior denied what was circulated on some social media sites regarding the spread of the Corona virus among more than 40 inmates of the Central Prison.

The administration reiterated that what had been circulated was incorrect and only two positive cases and one suspected case, were reported and preventive measures were taken against them.

The administration clarified that the Correctional Institutions Affairs and Judgment Execution Sector, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, conducts medical swabs for all inmates to ensure that they are free of the emerging corona virus, stressing that the Correctional Institutions and Judgment Implementation Sector spares no effort to protect inmates and preserve their health from the spread of the new Corona virus.
