The Ministry Of Health Will Study Pharmacology And Establish Private Pharmacies

Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, the Minister of Health, established a committee to investigate ideas for accelerating the enactment of relevant laws governing the pharmaceutical profession and organizing the operation of private pharmacies. In an effort to control workflow and develop strategies for averting any infractions in the industry, the new administrative body will be involved in reviewing policies and processes for the import of medications, supplies, and medical devices. The newly established committee will also examine legislation aimed at expanding the aforementioned ministerial duties.

The head of the committee was the Assistant Undersecretary for Drugs and Medical Equipment Affairs, or a representative from his office, along with representatives from the Ministry of Health's Medicines and Medical Equipment Division, the Union of Drug Importers and Pharmacies, the Ministry of Health Commerce, and the Pharmaceutical Society.
