The Ministry Of Education Will Hire Teachers From Jordan And Palestine
After a 3 year delay owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, representatives of the Ministry of Education's foreign contracting committee are slated to go to Jordan and Palestine to employ some 645 instructors to address the gap in government schools, according to Al-Qabas, citing ministry sources.
According to a local Arabic daily, the public education sector's Coordination and Follow-Up Department has identified the need to hire non-Kuwaiti educational staff in the context of organizing and providing the requirements for the next academic year (2022-2023), especially with plans to open new schools in the near future.
According to reports, the Ministry of Education's Undersecretary, Dr. Ali Al-Yaqoub, has been contacted about the need to employ non-Kuwaiti male and female instructors for the following specializations: English, French, mathematics, science, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.
The public education sector, according to sources, has picked just two countries, Jordan and Palestine, to recruit new teachers through foreign contracting committees, with a suggestion for committee members to visit one country in June and the other in July.
According to reports, Undersecretary Al-Yacoub consented to the request and transferred the subject to the administrative sector to finish the proceedings.
According to the sources, the Ministry of Education will ask its foreign counterpart to instruct the competent authorities in the two countries to publish the announcement in two widely read daily newspapers, twice on the inside page of each newspaper, and to broadcast it on the radio during appropriate times, as in previous years. From the date of the announcement until the arrival of the delegation members to conduct interviews, applications should be received.
The following 645 male and female instructors are needed by the ministry:
1 – English language instructors (80 people) (only male)
2 – A total of 20 French professors (only male)

4 – 65 Science professorsÂ
5 – 35 instructors in chemistry
