The Cbi Has Filed An Fir Against An Indian Who Killed His Kuwaiti Employer Couple

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an Indian national on suspicion of murdering his employer and his wife in Kuwait on Wednesday.

Santosh Kumar Rama, according to an FIR, reportedly murdered Kuwaiti nationals Fahad Ben Nasser Ibrahim and his wife Salama Faraj Salem, for whom he worked as a servant, in 2012. He reportedly obtained his passport after the murder by purposefully smashing the victim's safe, according to the FIR.

The investigation was opened in December 2016 after the Ministry of External Affairs received a request from the Kuwaiti authorities to extradite the accused, Santosh Kumar Rana.

Santosh Rama was sentenced to death (execution) by the State of Kuwait Court of First Instance Felonies in an absentia judgement on February 29, 2012.

The Ministry of External Affairs received a request from Kuwaiti authorities through their embassy in Delhi for his extradition for the alleged offence of murder for which he was sentenced to death (execution) by the State of Kuwait Court of First Instance Felonies in an absentia judgment on February 29, 2012.

 It went on to say that the alleged murder is a crime punishable by more than a year in jail in both India and Kuwait, making it an extraditable offence under the Treaty.
