The Biggest Divorce Settlement Ever By Amazon Family

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife, MacKenzie, have decided to get divorced and they have agreed to the biggest divorce settlement in the history. The deal is unprecedented and humongous leaving Jeff with 75 per cent of their stock in the tech giant and giving his wife over $36 billion in shares.

On the other hand, MacKenzie said she would give all of her stake in The Washington Post and the space exploration firm Blue Origin and voting control of her remaining Amazon stock to Jeff Bezos. The couple have been married for 25 years and have four children. This divorce will make MacKenzie the third wealthiest woman in the world. She will now control four per cent of the company's outstanding common stock.

'Grateful to have finished the process of dissolving my marriage with Jeff with support from each other and everyone who reached out to us in kindness,' MacKenzie Bezos wrote on her Twitter page. She added, 'Happy to be giving him all of my interests in the Washington Post and Blue Origin, and 75% of our Amazon stock plus voting control of my shares to support his continued contributions with the teams of these incredible companies'.

Also, Jeff said 'She is resourceful and brilliant and loving, and as our futures unroll, I know I'll always be learning from her. I'm grateful for her support and for her kindness in this process and am very much looking forward to our new relationship as friends and co-parents'. This is the biggest divorce pact ever as Jeff's ex-wife will now get $35 billion worth of Amazon stock leaving her the third richest woman in the world.
