The Ahmadi Refinery Fire Was Caused By Human And Technical Errors

The technical committee set up to investigate the Ahmadi refinery incident on January 14, which killed five workers, has published its findings, which point to a number of technical causes.

Human mistakes, according to a local Arabic newspaper quoting committee sources, were one of the reasons, necessitating administrative sanctions against the responsible personnel.

According to sources, the report instructed officials from the Kuwait National Petroleum Company, including managing members and chief executives, to recommend the formation of an administrative investigation committee in collaboration with the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's CEO, stating that administrative sanctions could include senior officials.
