The Agenda Of The National Assembly Session Includes Several Topics

KUWAIT: The National Assembly will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday for regular sessions to debate items on its work agenda, including the interpellation of Foreign Minister and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah, as well as the government's work plan.

The session will begin with the correction of session transcripts, inquiries, and arriving letters, followed by MP Shuaib Al-four-axis Muwaizeri's questioning motion. According to the interrogating MP, the interrogation would focus on "squandering of public finances," "breaching of laws and mismanagement," "failure to safeguard the country's political interests," and "non-adherence to international treaties and protocols."

Article 100 of the Kuwaiti Constitution empowers members of parliament to seek an interrogation of the prime minister and cabinet ministers over matters pertaining to their duties and responsibilities.

In accordance with Article 98 of the constitution, the assembly will then discuss the government's work plan for the years 2021/2022 – 2024-2025. A number of parliamentary committee reports of draught laws, amendments, and proposals are also on the agenda, including a proposal by the foreign affairs parliamentary committee to amend the law boycotting the Zionist entity and propose a law prohibiting dealing with and normalizing the Zionist entity and its organizations.

The session will also deal with reports on internal issues, such as the report of the committee entrusted with addressing the situation of stateless individuals on their civil, legal, social, and occupational rights. – KUNA.
