According to Bader Al-Amira, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, temperatures will drop below zero in the second half of January.

In a statement to a local Arabic daily, Al-Amira said the star or tail of the scorpion will appear in the second half of January for 13 days, noting that the second season will start after Al-Murabaaniyyah, which is Al-Azreq, which is the coldest day of the year and is called by the Eastern Arabs (Mubki Al-Husni).

Among the most important tips for dealing with the cold, Al-Amira advised wearing heavy clothes and not lighting charcoal and fire in closed tents, since coal can cause suffocation, especially when sleeping.

It is advised to avoid allowing children to play outside during the nighttime hours to prevent them from becoming ill with colds or flu, and it is also advised to avoid direct exposure to cold air after bathing to prevent seasonal winter illnesses.
