In an interview with ‘What’s Next’ program on Kuwait TV, Al-Aqeel disclosed a total of 417 companies and institutions were referred to the concerned authorities in the Interior Ministry and Public Prosecution for committing violations and this resulted in the filing of 282 cases.
She said around 12,500 workers are registered under these companies and institutions. She added the concerned authorities received 2,500 labor complaints; indicating the ministry suspended the operations of 2,207 companies in connection with human trafficking issues.
