Syrian Woman Kills Husband To Remarry

According to the Lebanese police, a Syrian woman was arrested for killing her husband over plans he had for another wife.

In collaboration with her brother, the suspect had murdered her husband, aged 35, while he slept, and told police that he was missing.

The husband was repeatedly stabbed with an iron tool and hit on the head with it, according to police.

It was then buried inside a pit by the suspected partners

Lebanese Security Forces said in a statement that the woman's 33-year-old claimed her husband has been missing since Feb. 22.

The woman and her brother, however, were suspected of being behind the disappearance of the husband.

As a result of the arrest, both confessed to the crime claimed that husband had planned to marry another woman, while the wife claimed he used to physically abuse her kids.

As a result of the 11-year civil war in Syria, Lebanon hosts hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
