Syrian Expat Stabbed Egyptian During A Quarrel Over Loud Television Noise
A Syrian expatriate stabbed his Egyptian neighbor on his shoulder during a quarrel between them over loud television noise. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from the caretaker of a building in Hawally area about a quarrel among two tenants, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found the Egyptian tenant lying on the ground and bleeding from his shoulder. Securitymen arrested the Syrian suspect and referred him to the police station of the area. Following investigations, it was discovered that the Syrian suspect was watching TV with loud volume and his Egyptian neighbor was not able to sleep in his flat. He then knocked on the Syrian’s door and demanded to reduce the TV volume. When the Syrian refused, a quarrel broke out between them and developed into a fight during which the Syrian stabbed the Egyptian on the shoulder with a knife. Securitymen took necessary action.
