Syrian Arrested For Stealing Diesel

21 February 2019 Crime News

The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified Syrian for stealing diesel from an oil facility in Umm Naga and selling it to an Egyptian at a low price, who then sold the diesel on the black market, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily said the arrests came after the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior receiving information from a Kuwaiti that he suspects two men of stealing the diesel from inside the oil facility. They were put under surveillance and caught red-handed inside the facility with the tank of their vehicle loaded with diesel and taken to the area police station for interrogation.

The security source added the Syrian has admitted that he is the owner of the vehicle and that he carried out the theft in coordination with the Egyptian, whose role was limited to buying the stolen diesel.
