Supreme Council For The Implementation Of Distance Education Rules And Policies: Parents' Participation Will Not Go Beyond Monitoring The Performance Of Their Young Children
The Supreme Committee for the Application of Distance Education Rules and Policies for the educational stages starting from kindergarten to the secondary stage for the 2020-2021 academic year held the sixth meeting chaired by the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi, (remotely) through the (Microsoft Teams) program, with the participation of the general mentors Academic fields.
The meeting dealt with the training plan for e-learning applications, which included all technical mentors and department heads, and it is scheduled to complete during the next week of training all teachers.
The meeting also discussed study plans and curriculum distribution, especially with regard to kindergarten and the first three grades of primary school (first - second - third).
The meeting touched on the mechanism for evaluating learners, and school attendance for each educational stage, and it was emphasized that the participation of parents will not go beyond monitoring the performance of young children and communicating with teachers.
Minister Al-Harbi affirmed his keenness to participate in the technical guidance in the distance education plan, to listen to their views, exchange ideas, and draw attention to the proposals presented.
The meeting was attended by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Faisal Al-Maqsid, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutawa, Dr. Salah Al-Najem from Kuwait University, Director of Public Relations and Educational Media Department Dhaidan Al-Ajami, directors of all school subjects, in addition to the supervisor of exams and student affairs Sultan Al-Mishaal.
