Subscriptions For Digital Civil Id Exceeds 500,000

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) affirmed that the Kuwait Mobile ID apps that provides digital civil cards, which is approved for all government agencies, was temporarily suspended on Friday for new registration as it had to undergo periodic maintenance, Al Rai reports. The authority carries out maintenance for all its systems for security reasons and the data was not compromised. The suspension only covered new subscriptions, and the system was working for previous subscribers both citizens and expats, which has exceeded 500,000.

The authorities called on the public to subscribe to digital civil ID which is permitted to conduct transactions in all government agencies without the need for carrying a civil ID. It also makes it easier for visitors to complete their transactions in the absence of a civil card with them, as the application works on all mobile phones.
