The Ministry of Education has asked the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) to stop offering the French Language course to females and limit it to 30 male students annually, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting official sources. Sources explained the ministry took this step due to the huge surplus of female graduates of basic education major in French Language.
Sources said the ministry is facing difficulties due to the remarkable increase in the number of French Language teachers in all educational districts; such that some of them conduct only three or less classes per week.
On the other hand, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi has terminated Financial Affairs Department Head Lulwa Al-Mulla.
