Sri Lankan Ministry Has Asked 122 Maidservants To Move Back Home

Sri Lankan Ministry of Foreign Employment has asked 122 maidservants to move back home. “Some of the maidservants suffered physical abuse, while others have not been paid their salaries”, said the ministry in a statement.

Forty-four maidservants were provided safe accommodation before flying home. The ministry is also undertaking the necessary measures to fly 78 remaining women to Sri Lanka.
