Sri Lankan Couple And An Egyptian Man Arrested For Possessing Drugs

Police have arrested a Sri Lankan couple and an Egyptian man for possessing and trafficking in drugs. A security source said a Farwaniya police patrol on routine duty in Al- Riq’ei saw a motorist talking to a Sri Lankan couple and the duo escaped on foot when they saw the police car. Police then seized the motorist (Egyptian) and seized from him meth, hashish, heroin and some money. Police also chased the Sri Lankans, arrested them and referred the trio to the General Department for Drugs Control.
