Specialist Health Centers Opened
The Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, inaugurated the Sabah Al-Ahmad Specialist Health Centers D and E, in this residential city, which has become unique with exceptional medical services different from all regions of the State of Kuwait, reports Al- Rai daily. The head of Sabah Al-Ahmad Centers, Dr. Aseel Al-Sabri, said, in a statement on the sidelines of the opening, that Center D is a miniature hospital that contains outpatient clinics for 14 departments of medical specialties with secondary health care.
She added among these departments, is the oral health for school children and dental health program, which includes child clinics for dental treatment, and a school health – medical examination clinics for schools, institutes, universities and vaccinations. She stated that the hospital includes abdominal and endocrine clinics, general surgery, orthopedics and urology, in addition to two pediatric and dermatological clinics, and gynecology and obstetrics clinics, sonar and fetal planning. She indicated that it also includes otolaryngology and audiology clinics, a physiotherapy department, an ophthalmic surgery under preparation, a laboratory for medical examinations, in addition to a diagnostic radiology department, an IV for intravenous treatment, and a pharmacy.
Al-Sabri explained the center will receive visitors via appointments or those referred to it from the primary care centers, located in all sectors of Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential City, Al-Wafra Residential and Agricultural City, Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City, Al-Khairan and Bneider. She indicated that the E Center for Primary Health Care includes general clinics, clinics for chronic non-communicable diseases, a laboratory, a pharmacy and a nursing department. She indicated that the center operates from Sunday to Thursday from 8 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon.
