The Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) announced on Wednesday that it is still in the process of receiving financial disclosure statements for those covered by the financial disclosure system. The Acting Secretary-General of the authority, Dr. Muhammad Buzbar, stressed to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the necessity for the categories mentioned in Article 2 of Law No. 2 of 2016 regarding the establishment of the authority and the provisions for disclosure to the legally specified dates for submitting financial disclosure statements. Buzbar added that the article provides for “submission of those covered by the first declaration within 60 days from the date of assuming the position and updating the declaration within 60 days from the end of every three years for those who remain in office, and the final declaration within 90 days from the date of leaving the position or the termination of the capacity.”

He said that to find out the dates for submitting the declaration, to download the financial disclosure forms and to book an appointment in advance, this can be done through the authority’s website www.nazaha.gov.kw or by calling the phone service 118. He indicated that the official working hours for receiving the declarations are from 8:30 in the morning until 12:30 in the afternoon at the Authority’s headquarters during official working days.
