Social Affairs Saves One Million Dinars For The Treasury

The Ministry of Social Affairs succeeded in saving about one million dinars during the current year, after the computer management team in the ministry canceled a project with an estimated value of 600,000 dinars, without affecting the work, preceded by reducing the cost of one of the projects worth 400,000 dinars, to just 73,000.

An official source told “Al-Rai”, “The team assigned to re-examine all the projects in the ministry is re-evaluating the costs of all projects. The latest efforts resulted in the cancellation of a mechanization project affiliated with the social welfare sector without affecting the progress of work.”

The source added that the project was part of the development plan, and the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) was requested to cancel it, and after CAPT agreed the request was made to the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, which in turn canceled the project from its development plan.

Regarding the activation of electronic transformation in the cooperatives sector, the source explained that the committee had studied a previous contract to establish an electronic program, where a team of technicians in the administration succeeded in creating an electronic system for general assemblies.
