Smartphone Costs 2,000 Dinars Inside Prison

The Central Prison authorities have arrested an Arab man for allegedly attempting to smuggle phone sets and chargers into the facility, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added the investigations center on the man’s activity to find out if he was earlier able to mobile phones into the prison.

The daily added, the Arab works for a restaurant that has a contract with the Ministry of Interior to supply food for the prison. The daily said the security guards found four phones and four chargers inside four packs of meals. During interrogation the suspect admitted to the charge. The seized phones have been referred to the concerned authority. It is noteworthy to mention the value of the smuggled smartphone inside the prison to inmates exceeds 2,000 dinars.
