Sixty Plus Decision Still Awaiting Final Solution; Temp Residency For Three Month

While the issue of the 'Sixty plus expatriates' is still awaiting a final solution, the Ministry of Interior continues to grant temporary residency permits for expatriates from this category whose work permits expire, Al Rai Arabic news reported.

According to report, the decision to ban work permits for those who have reached the age of sixty with a secondary certificate or less is still in the system of the Public Authority for Manpower, and therefore they cannot renew their residencies.

However, based on the humanitarian considerations, a temporary residency for a period ranging from one month to 3 Months are given to those who waiting for the final conclusion of the decision, report added.

It is to be noted that this temporary residency extension does not allow the resident to travel, as the temporary residency is immediately cancelled once the person left Kuwait.
