Six Kuwaitis Bought 10000 Expat Workers To Kuwait On Fake Companies - No Deportation For Victims

29 March 2019 Kuwait

Owners of six companies, believed to be Kuwaitis, who reportedly brought into the country 10,000 workers are charged with trafficking in human beings and have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

The residency affairs investigations directorate decided to not deport these 10,000 expats as they are the victims.

According to report, for humanitarian reasons and for being victims themselves, the criminal security sector had been instructed to allow these laborers to legalize their stay in Kuwait, pay the fines and transfer their residencies to other companies.

This decision has been taken keeping in mind the ‘human aspect’ since they were the victims of human traffickers and phantom companies.
