Sisters Kept In Captive By 3 Brothers

In its first hearing, the Criminal Court sentenced three brothers to imprisonment, and released three sisters on bail of KD 20,000 each, on charges of kidnapping, threatening, and detaining their sister in a jail-like compartment in order to take away her freedom of movement.

According to the case file, the victim told a maid who frequented her that she had been subjected to detention in a jail like room following disputes with her family, and asked her to report her suffering. Immediately, the Public Prosecution commissioned the Ministry of Interior to investigate the matter. By ascertaining the situation, the Public Prosecution obtained permission to raid the house, liberate the girl, arrest her brothers and sisters, initiate a criminal case against them. It coordinated with the concerned authorities to provide her with adequate housing.
