Several Arrested For Possessing Drugs

Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti couple, a Bedoun man and an American in possession of drugs during intensive security campaigns in Hawally, Salmiya and Salwa areas. A Kuwaiti couple appeared disoriented when they arrived at a security checkpoint in Salmiya area. Securitymen checked the vehicle and found a piece of hashish, a cigarette rolled with hashish and narcotic pills. Bedoun man and an American were caught driving recklessly in the area. Securitymen checked them to find a cigarette rolled with hashish and some pills suspected to be drugs. Securitymen rushed to the parking area of Bayan Cooperative Society after the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received a report about a young man motionless inside a parked car. However, they discovered that the youth was under the infl uence of drugs. They arrested him and seized the drugs and narcotic pills in his possession. The fi ve drug users have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
