Sentence Overruled For Woman In Murder Of Her 4-year-old Daughter

The Court of Cassation overturned the verdict of a lower court which sentenced a Kuwaiti woman to four years in prison for killing her four-year-old daughter. The higher court refrained from punishing the woman.

Furthermore, the Criminal Court sentenced blogger Saqer A-Hashash in absentia to five years in jail for violating State security and cyber crime laws. So far, the number of imprisonment years imposed on Al-Hashash reached 70.

In addition, the Criminal Court sentenced a sales staff at Kuwait Airways Corporation to seven years imprisonment, fined him KD126,000 and ordered dismissal from his job for embezzling KD63,000 by selling forged plane tickets.
