Security, Safety Of Citizens Real Wealth Of Kuwait – Interior Minister
Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali during a meeting of the Civil Defense Committee, which he chaired, spoke of the committee’s readiness should the Council of Ministers decide to go for a total lockdown in the face of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Directorate-General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry said in a press statement Minister Al-Ali reviewed with the members of the committee the preparations and precautionary measures taken by all state authorities, and called for cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Health to confront the risk of contracting the virus. He stressed on the importance of devoting all human and health capabilities to confront the increasing number of infections in the best interest of the safety of citizens and residents.
Rumors
He called for activating educational and advisory plans to guide citizens and residents, at the same time calling on everyone to refute rumors and false news published by the print, audio and visual media, but get reports from government official websites.
He said that the Civil Defense Committee members are in constant touch and stressed the security and safety of citizens “is our most valuable asset, which is the real wealth of Kuwait.” The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Lieutenant- General Essam Al-Naham, and members from various state agencies. In other news, the Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality announced the Audit and the Municipal Services Follow-up Department at the Ahmadi Municipality Branch during an inspection of shopping centers and retail stores with support from the security authorities, issued 39 citations, issued 13 warning letters and administratively shut down three stores for various reasons, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Implement
Director of the, Saad Al-Shaiba, said the Municipality is keen to implement the decisions of the Council of Ministers related to health requirements, and pointed out the monitoring team works in two shifts – morning and evening – to ensure commitment to health requirements in the best interest of the safety of citizens and residents, and the safety of workers in the shops, as well as ensuring their compliance with the municipal conditions and controls. Al-Shaiba indicated the inspectors spare no effort in monitoring and following up those who violate the rules and regulations in force and the application of health requirements to limit the spread of the Corona virus.
