27 May 2018 Crime News

Search is ongoing for a Syrian expatriate who pretended to be a Gulf prince, took a high-end car on rent from a car rental office in the name of a Kuwaiti woman, and gave it to another Kuwaiti woman in Saad Al-Abdullah City.

According to a security source, the owner of the car-rental office informed Ardiya Police Station that a Kuwaiti woman took a car for rent for a week from his office but did not return it after one week. When an employee called her on the number provided, a man answered and claimed to be a husband. He promised to return the car and requested for some time to pay the rent amount. When the car was not returned after several weeks, the owner of the car rental office filed a breach of trust case against the Kuwaiti woman.

Securitymen launched investigations and discovered it was being used by another Kuwaiti woman who was informed that the car was wanted. She then said she was gifted the car by a man who claimed to be a prince from a GCC country. When they checked his details, they discovered he is a Syrian expatriate. Investigations were launched to find and arrest him.
